NIKOLINA AT A GLANCE

She was born in Zagreb, Croatia, learned contemporary dance in Germany at the prestigious dance school of Pina Bausch and spent the five years in India to learn Bharatanatyam, a popular Indian Classical Dance, under tutelage of highly regarded Padmashree Guru Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan.

Nikolina is awardee of many prestigious scholarships such as Indian Council for Cultural Relations’s for Bharatanatyam and two scholarships for contemporary dance at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen, Germany.

She has danced in greatest performing venues in Paris, Vienna..., with famous artists...

She regulary performs in international TV shows... and was also portreyed in a documentary movies- "Greetings from Delhi"...

Presently, she is a dance professor at the French Embassy School- Lycee Francais de Delhi in India and she shares her time between performing, teaching and collaborating with various artists in the creative exploration of dance, theatre and music.

 

BACKGROUND

Since early childhood, Nikolina has learned rhythmic gymnastic, classical ballet, contemporary dance and yoga.

She graduated from Laban’s High School for Dance and Rhytmics in Zagreb,continued dance studies at Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance ,Austria specializing in Cunningham and Limon dance techniques.

She graduated dance studies at the world famous Folkwang Hochschule Essen in Germany- Dance Academy of legends like Pina Bausch, Susanne Linke, Kurt Joos.

She graduated Bharatanatyam at Ganesa Natyalaya Dance Institute New Delhi, under tutelage of Padmashree Guru Dr.Saroja Vaidyanathan.
