Contemporary dance is about emotions, emotions through an infinit variety of means.

Nikolina likes to explore the manyfold and complex human psyche using various contemporary dance techniques.

Movement, attitude, discipline, dedication, experience, creativity…the dance vocabulary becomes a codified language in expressing the subtle mechanism animating relationships. Each dance move perceives and portrayes society from its own specific corner; when performed and linked together on stage, the circle of life becomes transparent and expresses its various dramas with both sensitivity and intensity.

“I’m interested in what moves people and not how they move” such is the meaningful dance philosophy of legendary German contemporary choreographer Pina Bausch. Not only has Nikolina always been inspired by Pina's moto, but she has also excelled in mastering her various techniques and approaches to contemporary expression when studying at her dance school “Folkwang Hochschule” in Essen.

Taking an insight into everyday life of people of different cultures, opening a window into their intimate space, exploring creativity and physicality in the contemporary dance…choreographer communicates to the audience.
